Driving a car and renting a hotel room are only two of the many things that require a specific age. There are surprisingly many more. Contrarily, it seems that there are things you can become too old for as well. Jeans are one example of a common habit that falls under this category.
You can, according to the trend setters, outgrow your favorite jeans at some point. But there’s a point at which the pros recommend donating the denim. The blogger provides evidence to support her assertion, so it’s not simply a matter of taste.
The information came from a recent poll of 2,000 consumers conducted by CollectPlus, a UK courier service. Their buying habits, style preferences, and even their ideal pair of jeans were all subject to questioning.
People shouldn’t strive to fit into denim after the age of 53, according to the final results. The respondents appeared to agree. And why? It’s not that you’re displaying poor taste in clothing, though. Actually, by that age, it’s just more difficult to find a pair that fits.
The statistics aren’t good news for denim fans, unfortunately. According to the study, 10% of respondents who were 50 and older admitted to trying on six different styles before settling on the ideal pair. Most people reach their peak stress levels when shopping for pants by the time they are 53 years old, according to the study. Some 6% of customers were so distressed that they sobbed uncontrollably.
Of all ages, it’s bound to be a challenge to discover the ideal pair of blue jeans. Finding the right pair of jeans might take anywhere from five to eight days, according to studies. It should come as no surprise, then, that the average person waits at least three more years before purchasing a new pair.
Until you retire, we will support your decision to continue rocking your favorite denims.
