Mark Harmon, known for his role as NCIS’s Jethro Gibbs, has embarked on a new project after leaving the series. He’s co-authored a book titled “Ghosts of Honolulu: A Japanese American Spy Hunter and The Untold Story of Pearl Harbor,” set to be released on November 14, 2023.
The book delves into the real stories of Japanese and American intelligence agents during World War II, inspired by Harmon and NCIS’s technical adviser, Leon Carroll Jr. Harmon’s motivation for writing the book is rooted in history’s lessons and the importance of learning from it. He now has more time on his hands post-NCIS and is excited about this new endeavor, sharing stories that shed light on the birth of the real NCIS.
